Olbia, Koyaltı and local memory
Ancient references to Olbia and later local place-name traditions belong to different evidence layers. Twentieth-century summer camps and gardens remain central to Antalyans’ memory of the coast.

KONYAALTI BEACH
Konyaaltı is both a beach and a record of how Antalya met the sea: ancient settlement, seasonal camps, cliff views, modern parks and everyday city life.

Come to Antalya

Ancient references to Olbia and later local place-name traditions belong to different evidence layers. Twentieth-century summer camps and gardens remain central to Antalyans’ memory of the coast.

The long pebble shore is served by parks, cycling routes, public sections and private operations. Sea depth can increase quickly, so families should choose supervised sections.

Combine the beach with Antalya Museum, the Aquarium, Atatürk Cultural Park and a sunset walk. Continue west only if traffic and daylight allow.
